Russian giant Gazprom increases gas exports to Europe and yields in the first months of 2107, according to the latest data from the company. The statistics shows that from January 1 to July 15, natural gas extraction by the company increased by 18.8% to 248.8 billion cubic meters. Much of these gas quantities are sold on the market in Europe – to 102.9 billion cubic meters, representing an increase of 12.3%.
The company reports increased supplies to some of its major markets – for example, Germany’s growth is 16.7%. Significant is the increase in gas supplies to Austria – 77.2%.
The data also show that in 2016 Gazprom has produced 419.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas, including 179.3 billion cubic meters gas supplies to Europe. The quantities are historical and have an increase of 12.5% compared to data for 2015. The forecast for 2017 is for growth of yield.
Judging from the situation, Gazprom predicts a new increase, and gas exports to Europe could exceed 180 billion cubic meters in 2017.
